This May, people from throughout North Carolina have the ability to get involved with a wonderful charity program called the VA Vigilante PaddleFit Challenge. Stand Up Paddle boarders of all ability levels can come together to take part in one of several different races, while raising money for homeless and disabled veterans in Onslow County. All of the proceeds for the event will be given to the Onslow County Community Foundation for Homeless Veterans, Home of Camp Lejeune.
We are not all paddle boarders at Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban, but we do care deeply about the veterans in our community and have pledged to sponsor the event at the Silver level. We hope that you join us in supporting this worthy cause, whether it’s through a sponsorship of your own or by taking part in the race.
The event is happening on Sunday, May 17 at the Wrightsville SUP Facility in Wrightsville Beach, with races beginning at 9 a.m. To register, go to the VA Vigilante PaddleFit Challenge website and fill out a registration form. You will have the option to register at one of several different levels, including Beginner/Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Advanced Turn and Burn.
Rates are as follows:
All races will be completed in teams of two, so grab an adventurous friend to take part in the course with you. You can find full race details, including times and descriptions of each skill level, at the VA Vigilante PaddleFit Challenge website.
For additional information on how to become a sponsor of the event, we encourage you to reach out to the VA Vigilante team or contact our firm today at 866-866-VETS or online.
