Veterans Compensation Benefits

Veterans Disability Compensation Benefits

When you are not getting the VA payments you deserve

Compensation is the most common benefit claimed, but obtaining it is far from a simple process. Scores of veterans are denied compensation every year. The nationwide VA benefits lawyers at Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban work very hard to obtain the compensation veterans are entitled to.

Clients know we are in their corner and that we truly are concerned about them, not just their appeals. To make the process as smooth as possible, veterans who seek our help always deal directly with the same firm member. You will not be shuffled around to people who do not know you or your situation.

Who is entitled to VA compensation benefits?

When the VA approves a claim, a percentage of disability up to 100 percent is assigned. Your level of disability determines the amount of your monthly, non-taxable compensation payment as well as the amount of medical care you receive from the VA at no cost.

Three things must be established through evidence for you to be entitled to VA benefits. There must be:

  • A current disability
  • Evidence that the veteran first showed symptoms of a disease or suffered an injury, or an aggravation of a preexisting disease or injury, while in the service or within a short period afterward
  • A link between the current disability and the in-service disease, injury or event

Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban gets involved when the VA denies a legitimate claim for benefits or awards a low benefit amount. Our attorneys are accredited to manage veterans’ appeals nationwide. We are fully up-to-date on the most pressing issues and current laws affecting vets of the Vietnam War and the Gulf War, as well as the most recent conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Let us stand up for you
